saying chau part II

Tonight I said goodbye to my mom and sister. It wasn't as teary as I thought it would be. It went down pretty fast...taxi pulled up, traffic was zooming by, woman who was parked in by the taxi was asking him to move, bags weren't fitting in the car, quick hugs, quick kisses and they were off.

It made me smile though, because that's the same way it went down when I left the states almost 6 months ago. We said our good-byes at home, I cried a ton of tears, but by the time we pulled up to the airport, we got my bags out, I took off my mom's winter coat (it was cold out and mine was packed since I was traveling to a nicer climate), quick kisses and good-byes and I was running to get inside for warmth.

I miss them already. I miss all the laughing we did together these past couple days. I really appreciate their company. I'm so lucky to have them.

(updates on the past 10 days to come...)

We wouldn't have minded if you wanted to share them a little more with us, but we understand, of course. See you this evening for you to meet Sophie.
