writing from the charlotte, north carolina airport on one of many layovers today.
so far so good. both bags were over weight (58 pounds each) but the kind kind woman at the ticket counter did not charge me. I also made it thought security check point without hassle. i was worried about both laptops and my purse going through the scanner before i could get through the metal detector, but all went well. now i'm just waiting for my flight to miami that will bring me closer to my final destination.

How many bags did you take with you? I'm fully prepared to pay the extra fee. I'm sure my total luggage weight will exceed their limits.
i took two large suitcases with wheels on the bottom. both were 58lbs and i wasn't charged (luckily). i also brought a backpack that carried both my laptops, medicine, some books and a change of clothes in the case that my luggage was lost. i also had with me on the plane my large purse that i fit my toiletries in.
The luggage gods were looking over your shoulder that day. I'll let you know if I was as lucky.
