tacos in argentina

last night at the party i attended the american host served warmed tocos shells, meat, chicken, refried beans, rice and guacamole. it was so cute to watch the argentine guests prepare their tacos. they don't eat tacos here, so they didn't know what to do or how to hold and eat them. one put the rice and beans in his toco shell instead of on the side.

another asked why I brought a lime with the the Corona i brought to the party.

then today i met a friend for lunch. we ordered tacos at a restaurant (which is very very rare to see on a menu here). when the 'taco's' arrived i looked at my friend and said, these aren't tocos these are fajitas (soft shell with cooked peppers inside). we also ordered 'nachos' to share. 'nachos' were tortilla chips that came with 3 little bowls with dipping sauce. one of the sauces was called '3 cheese' the other was 'hot sauce' that the waiter said was very spicy but i thought it had no spice to it AT ALL and the third sauce was mustard. yes, mustard was served with the nachos.
